Little knowledge about dust removal filter cartridges

In the fields of ventilation and dust removal, large machinery filtration, and other fields, the dust filter cartridge is an indispensable dust-proof device. Because of its advantages of acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, high pulling force, high strength, low running resistance, large air volume, large filtration area, and high filtration efficiency, it has won the favor of various industries. In order to deepen everyone's understanding of dust filter cartridges, this article will focus on a simple analysis of the common specifications, usage requirements, and correct cleaning methods of dust filter cartridges.

1. Specifications of the dust filter cartridge
The dust filter cartridge is a star-shaped filter cartridge made of a certain length of stiff filter material folded into pleats and bonded end to end. The filter cartridge has no cage ribs and is easy to install. There are many varieties of dust removal filter cartridges, which can be divided into thin and long and thick and short. Slender filter cartridges (such as φ≤160, L=1 ~ 2m) have large gaps between pleats (such as 45 pleats) and large included angles. The pleats are few and shallow, and the filtration area is 2 to 5 times larger than that of filter bags with the same diameter and length. It is easy to clean and the effect is good; it is suitable for filtration and dust removal of dust with a concentration of ≥15g/m, and the filtration wind speed is 0.6 to 1.2m/min. Thick and short dust filter cartridges (such as φ350, L=0.66m) have large diameter, short length, many pleats (120~350 pleats) and depth, small gaps between pleats, and large filtering area, which is larger than filter bags with the same diameter and length. 14~35 times, suitable for local installation on small sites and small spaces; however, due to the small fold angle, dust is easy to accumulate and difficult to clean. It is suitable for filtration and dust removal of dust with a concentration of 5g/m. The filtration wind speed should not be >0.6m /min.

2. Requirements for dust filter cartridges
Dust filter cartridges usually must meet the following requirements: They must have sufficient volume. It serves as temporary ash storage in case the ash unloading and conveying system is repaired due to failure; to ensure smooth ash unloading in the ash hopper, the rest angle of the ash hopper should be greater than 60°. The rest angle refers to the angle between the slope/horizontal surface of the ash hopper; An arc plate should be added at the intersection between the two ash hopper walls on the inner wall of the ash hopper to prevent dust accumulation in the dust removal filter element. There are two devices usually used for heating the ash hopper, one is the steam heating method; the other is the steam heating method; It is an electric heating method.

3. Cleaning of dust filter cartridge
Commonly used automatic cleaning methods for dust removal cartridges include high-pressure gas pulse backflushing, mechanical vibration pulse backflushing, which uses the preset parameters of the controller to give a signal to the solenoid valve, which instantly opens and closes the solenoid valve diaphragm to press the gas into the blow pipe. The rapid expansion force of the gas is used to shake off the dust on the surface of the filter cartridge. Generally, the gas pressure is set to about 6 kilograms of force. Mechanical vibration cleaning is often used in small stand-alone filter cartridge dust collectors. It is generated by the eccentric device on the dust collector panel. The shaking force is used to clean the dust. This action requires shutting down the machine and operating the cartridge filter.
